Transfer from One Polytechnic to another Polytechnic: If you want to change your polytechnic institute then you can apply for a Transfer. How to Transfer from One Polytechnic to Another 

Assam Govt polytechnic students can apply for transfer from one polytechnic to another in 1st and 3rd semester. The transfer depends on the availability of seats at another polytechnic. The transfer process will be conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Assam.

The transfer of students will be done on the basis of a merit list for those students having medical issues and forwarded by the principal of the present institute.

Students can mutually transfer between students. Directorate Technical Education will allow mutual transfer between students of the polytechnic. 

If students transfer, they will not be allowed to come back to the same polytechnic since they are transferred out.

Student transfer letters will be uploaded on DTE's official websites and will also be sent to the principal.

Guideline for Polytechnic Institutional Transfer 

Some guidelines should be followed for the transfer of First Year students of All Govt. Polytechnics of Assam under Directorate of Technical Education, Assam.

Polytechnic Transfer in 1st Semester 

To transfer in the 1st semester from one polytechnic to another polytechnic, fill up the 1st-semester transfer form and submit it to the principal.

The transfer shall be based on the marks of the candidates in PAT and the availability of seats in a polytechnic. The transfer will not be allotted to any branch.

The transfer process is in offline mode. Applications for transfer submit at the office of the principal of the respective polytechnic.

Student transfer letters will be uploaded on DTE official websites and sent to the principal of the respective polytechnic.

Polytechnic Transfer in 3rd Semester

To transfer in the 3rd semester, the form fills up the polytechnic transfer application 3rd-semester form and submit it to the principal office or DTE office, on the date as notified by DTE or Polytechnic Institute.

Submit the application form with the following documents that must be submitted to the principal of the concerned polytechnic on or before the last day of the 2nd-semester examination.

1. Copy of the Mark sheet of the 1st-semester  with self-attested.
2. Self-attested copy of the 2nd semester admits card. 

Eligibility for Transfer in 3rd semester

1. The student who has completed the 1st semester without any back.
2. The student who has appeared in the 2nd-semester examinations.
3. Dis-collegiate students shall not be considered for transfer.
