1. Course Title: CONTROL SYSTEM

I. Course Code: - EL-502 

II. Semester: - 5th

III. Aims of the Subject/Course:
  •  Since the control system plays an essential role in the field of modern industries and power systems. So the subject is to give the students a basic concept of the control systems and circuit analysis using transfer function and block diagram representation. 
  •  To study the time response and frequency response for stability analysis of the system.

2. Course Title: ELECTRICAL MEASUREMENT AND MEASURING INSTRUMENTS-II

Aims of the Subject/Course: The diploma holder has to work as a Supervisor, or maintenance Engineer in Electrical power generation, transmission, distribution system, installation system, machine operation, etc. For the above job responsibility, he has to take the measurement, testing, monitoring, maintenance, and controlling of various electrical quantities current, voltage, power, energy, frequency, etc.

 a) To study construction, working principles, and operation of AC machines and some other special machines.

1. This is the main technology subject in Electrical Engineering. Power System depends on generation, transmission, distribution of power, substation, types of generating plant, control and atomization, and control of power plant and substation. System stability is another main factor to be considered. 

2. To develop knowledge and skill to supervise the functioning of the power system for safe operation. 

3. To help for further studies in the distribution and utilization of power.

III. Aims of the Subject/Course:

A. The field of electrical engineering is generally segmented into three major areas electronics, Power & control. 

B. This subject is the combination of these three areas. Nowadays all the industrial drives to run a machine and to control it as per requirement are based on Power electronics. 

C. Understanding of the subject will provide skills to the students for troubleshooting & testing power semiconductor devices, and solid-state DC & AC motor drives.
